Jackson Memorial Hospitals is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and one of the best teaching facilities for the School of Medicine.

Ryder Trauma Center is located in the heart of the Health District. To secure communication between the first responders, a BDA and DAS was installed. The convenience of the system installed has granted the ability to use their mobile radios and continues communication to the outside users.
